Important Details About Different Types of Valves

Valves are important for any mechanical device as their job is to regulate, control and direct the flow of a liquid, gases, and powders by opening, closing, or partially obstructing numerous passageways.  In most cases, valves depend on some form of mechanical barrier such as a plate, a diaphragm; for instance, it can be inserted and eliminated from the flow stream of the material passing through. Valves in China are available in different types depending on their different application and specifications.

Here are the few types of valves that are commonly used all over the world for different types of applications.

Balancing Valves

Balancing valves are meant to regulate fluid flow by distributing the flow evenly in numerous flow branches. Main specifications include the number of ports, port connections, valve size, and materials of construction. The most common uses of balancing valves are commercial heating/cooling systems to regulate water temperatures under fluctuating loading conditions.

Blind Valves

The oil and gas industries mainly use blind valves to separate sections of a pipeline. The basic specifications of blind valves may include valve type, actuator type, port connections, valve size, and the body's material, such as the seat, seal, and lining. These valves are common on ships and offshore platforms.

Casing Valves

These are the type of valves used by the oil and gas industry to allow access to good casings. The main specifications of casing valves may include actuator type, size, connections, application, and material.

Engine Valves

These kinds of valves are mainly found in various types of engines. These valves' key function is to seal between combustion chambers and either the intake or exhaust systems. The engine valve's basic specifications may include head and stem diameter, material, and the intended application.
